Even the American Idol judges, Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban and Harry Connick Jr., were stunned as 38-year old Grammy winner, Kanye West, came to audition for American Idol in San Francisco on Saturday.
Kim Kardashian, pregnant wife of West, accompanied him to the auditions for its 15th and final season. There were no backup dancers nor the flashy lights and expensive rapper outfits. It was just Kanye and his own line of Adidas sneakers who jammed his famous track, Gold Digger.
"Look who's going to Hollywood! #IdolAuditions #kanyewest," Ryan Seacrest captioned in the photo he posted of West who is about to give a high five to wife, Kim Kardashian, after his successful audition.
On Kim's instagram, she posted a photo of tv monitors wherein she was able to capture the judges' moment of realization of who was going to perform next with a caption, "SURPRISE!"
Kim was wearing a black maxi dress which covered her baby bump and a long black jacket. Kanye, on the other hand, wore black T-shirt, black jeans, brown jacket and gold chain.
The couple was at San Francisco with their daughter, North West, to attend the Democratic National Committee fundraiser for President Barack Obama over the weekend. The president gave the rapper some important advice with regard to his bid on 2020.
Just recently, West also posted a rant on Twitter about in-app purchases of her daughter, North, every five minutes. Netizens laughed it off telling him that his wife's app also have in-app purchases.
Moreover, American Idol posted the following photo on instagram, affirming that the rapper got himself a golden ticket.
Of course, West went home with a big smile as he walks away with the Idol ticket.
