Shia LaBeouf Arrested: ‘Transformers’ Actor Seized for Public Intoxication After Taking Drugs and Alcohol

Shia LaBeouf was arrested on Friday, Oct.9, and was booked for public intoxication at Travis County Jail in Austin, Texas. The arrest took place during the Austin City Limits Music Festival.

According to some witnesses, the 29-year-old appeared blitzed and out of control before the Austin police took him into custody. The "Transformers" actor was initially apprehended for walking on a "Don't walk" sign along the corner of the Sixth and San Jacinto streets at about 7:30 p.m. Before LaBeouf was arrested, the authorities tried to warn him about the sign, but he continued to violate the jaywalking sign, TMZ reports.

"The reason he got arrested originally is because he was jaywalking across the street over to [a bar there]. He got all in the cops' face and they told him not to do that, he started cussing them out and stuff, he was clearly wide-eyed. I don't know man, he's clearly here for [Austin City Limits Festival] but I guess he just wanted to come party tonight and I guess he took it a little too hard," witness Noah Hubbard told KVUE.

Prior to Labeouf's arrest, he was reportedly trying to enter a bar with a woman. However, they were denied access to the venue due to their intoxication. Labeouf then reportedly started cursing the attendants at the bar. According to Movie News Guide, he seemed to have consumed drugs and alcohol that he and the said woman acted "bizarre" when they were seen by the officials.

Labeouf was arrested many times before his most recent run-in with the law. He was apprehended for disorderly conduct in New York in June last year. He also submitted himself for rehab in November.

Mia Goth's former boyfriend was also taken into custody last year during his performance at the Broadway "Cabaret." In 2008, he was charged with disorderly conduct, and in 2007, he was arrested for trespassing at Chicago Walgreens.
