Zsa Zsa Gabor’s ‘Argo’ Bel Air Mansion Falls Out of Escrow

Recently, the property paparazzi went crazy when news of the "Moulin Rouge" actress Zsa Zsa Gabor's Bel Air Mansion going under contract for $14.9 million came out. The property had been going on and off the market for several years now. However, looks like the property has fallen off the escrow, again!

According to the Real Estalker, the property has again been privately listed with an asking price of $14 million. The Bel-Air home was built in 1955 and rented out to aviator millionaire, Howard Hughes, till the 1960s. Gabor bought the mansion in 1974 and hosted several affluent celebrities like Elizabeth Taylor, Frank Sinatra and President Ronald Reagan.

According to the listing records, the estate spans 8,878-square-feet and comes with 6 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms and lounge spaces indoors and outdoors where you can get a grand view of downtown Los Angeles. The home has hardwood floors, vaulted ceilings, large French windows and doors.

Zsa Zsa Gabor's husband, Frederic Prinz von Anhalt, had asked the court to let him sell her mansion - which featured in Oscar winning film "Argo". Von Anhalt had sought permission to be allowed to make a "deferred sale" of Gabor's Bel Air Road property so that he could pay off a $1.15 loan on the mansion. On April 6, a Los Angeles judge granted permission to Prinz Von Anhalt. According to the deal, the buyer must not only allow Gabor and him to stay there for three years after the purchase or until Gabor passes away, but also pay them $325,000 a year until the loan is paid off, reports Reuters.

She has called the property her primary residence for nearly 40 years now.

"This decision is going to make her very happy. Hopefully she will be with us for more than three years. Her mother lived to be 102,"Von Anhalt said to Reuters after the court hearing.

Gabor is now 96 years old and has had problems since breaking her hip in 2010 and having her leg surgically removed in January 2011.
