DC's 'Legends Of Tomorrow' An 'Insane Drama' To Watch For

DC Comics Universe is well-accepted and supported in The CW. And now another DC's superhero team show will be added to the home of three of DC Entertainment's hit TV shows, with the addition of DC's "Legends of Tomorrow."

The "Legends of Tomorrow" is a super hero team show that sets within the "Arrow" and "The Flash" Universe. As per DC Comics, the official synopsis of the new show reads, "When heroes alone are not enough...the world needs legends. Having seen the future, one he will desperately try to prevent from happening, time-traveling rogue Rip Hunter is tasked with assembling a disparate group of both heroes and villains to confront an unstoppable threat - one in which not only is the planet at stake, but all of time itself. Can this ragtag team defeat an immortal threat unlike anything they have ever known?"

Variety reported that Warner Bros. TV gave fans a sneak peek of the midseason as part of their presentation during the New York Comic Con last Sunday.

"The Flash" and "Arrow" unexpectedly became a hit and was successful and it helped turned The CW's fortune up high for the past two years. And now "Legends Of Tomorrow" is set to join the team of super heroes. Mentioned earlier, "Legends" is part of the world of "Arrow" and "The Flash." As said by Variety, "It follows a group of DC heroes and villains who band together to stop an evil that plans to not only take down the planet but all of time itself."

The cast of "Legends" includes Brandon Routh, Arthur Darvill and Ciara Renee. Some of them are already seen in "The Flash" and "Arrow" such as Routh who appeared in "Arrow" and Darvil who appeared in "Doctor Who." Phil Klemmer is the executive producer-showrunner.

It will be produced by Bonanza Productions, Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. TV with Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim, Andrew Kreisberg and Sarah Schechter exec producing.

Klemmer discussed about what the series is all about and said, "It's a highly serialized (show) that will be broken down into chapters where we go back into a specific time and place." He continued, "We will see the '70s, the Cold War, fascism, terrorism...It's fully insane."

According to Klemmer, having such great cast members made it easier for him to write the pilot episode and he said, "I knew these guys. It just made the writing so much more rich."

Comic Book shared that "Legends Of Tomorrow" is said to be the biggest gathering of DC superheroes and villains ever assembled in live action. It will debut in early 2016.
