For two long years the writers of "The Young and the Restless" made their fans as well as Genoa City residents believe that Adam Newman played by Justin Hartley was the one responsible for Delia's (Sophie Pollono) death. It made all the Y&R fans believe that it was Adam who hit Delia on that tragic night.
According to Celebrity Dirty Laundry, "The Young and the Restless" spoilers have a lead that clears out Adam's involvement in the hit and run incident that took Delia's life.
To add more to it, Adam believes that he was indeed the one who hit Delia and up to this moment all evidences are pointing unto him. As Adam talked to Paul about that tragic night, Adam said, "It was me. I did it." And as for Genoa City's residents they've already convicted Adam before he could face the court.
Last Oct. 7 episode, Adam was arrested for Delia's death. He was interrogated at the police station regarding his involvement on the hit and run accident. The police also spoke to Paul (Doug Davidson) and refer to Adam matching the description of the person who could possibly hit Delia. But the catch is that, Adam looks identical to Gabriel Bingham.
It has also been said that a key eye witness will put Gabriel on the crime scene involving him on the accident. Looks like after all these time Gabe was really the one behind the wheels and not Adam. Could it be that Adam is really innocent and he was just given the identity of the man who is truly responsible to Delia's death? That would be a great twist is that's the case.
Once it will be proved that Gabriel was the one who hit Delia then Adam's name will be cleared once and for all. Adam just took over Gabriel's identity until he was presumed to be dead. As a matter of fact, Adam is not aware about his new identity not until the later months and Sage (Kelly Sullivan) is the one responsible for the whole sham. But it looks like no one want to question her for that matter.
Since Adam accepted the help being offered by Michael (Christian LeBlanc) will the truth finally come out? But there's one big unanswered question: how come Gabriel and Sage Warner were at the memorial site during the night that Gabriel and Adam swapped identities? Could it be that Gabriel was guilty of causing Delia's death?
Sage mentioned only a little about Gabriel's death and all he said was that he was a hero for saving Adam's life. However, there is really more to that than what he just said. Will it be possible for Sage to finally talk what really happened behind the deaths of Gabriel and Delia?
"The Young and the Restless" airs from Monday to Friday on CBS.
