"Person of Interest" showrunner and cast members show up at the New York Comic Con on Sunday to reveal a teaser trailer on what fans can expect for the show's fifth season.
The Season 5 of "Person of Interest" will be shown midseason for the first time and showrunner Greg Plageman alongside producers Margot Lulick and Chris Fisher plus cast members Jim Caviezel, Michael Emerson, Kevin Chapman, Sarah Shai, and Amy Acker attended the NYCC to unveil a trailer.
There were rumors that the show will be airing its final season but there was no mention about it from the producers and actors. According to Science Fiction.com, in a rare moment of hilarity for the show, Finch is shown testing the Machine's visual recognition program which is running faulty with a few bugs that need fixing. The cast then is shown to swap faces with each other as the program gets fixed. They all spew lines and try their best impression of one another's characters on the show.
Meanwhile, in a report by Entertainment Weekly, several revelations were made for the upcoming season of "Person of Interest." Finch will demonstrate just how much he values his connection with the Machine. Emerson, the actor who plays Finch, explained to the crowd, "He's been trying to keep [their relationship] a non-personal one. It's a tool that he can use for good, which he doesn't have strong feelings about, which we see bleeding through all this parental passion and care, because the Machine is approaching a kind of personhood. It's the most important entity in Mr. Finch's life. I think it would be safe to say that."
It was also shown that Shaw is back in the show after actress Shahi got pregnant. Shaw and Root's trust with each other will go deeper as the LGBT community lauds the show's bold move to feature such a relationship between its characters.
