Harry Styles' Ex-Girlfriend Talks About Dating Prince Harry: "I Was His Bit of Rough"

Caroline Flack, "The X Factor UK" host, is spilling the beans on her brief affair with Prince Harry. The 35-year-old host has written an autobiography entitled "Storm in a C Cup," where she openly revealed how she met the prince through a friend in 2009.

"I'd never met him, so I thought, 'Oh, that's quite exciting,' and for a moment I perked up," Flack wrote in her book, according to an excerpt published by The Sun. "So I was just sitting there and he arrived with a few others in tow and we all spent the evening chatting and laughing."

The host admitted that their royal "friendship" ended just as abruptly. She wrote, "Once the story got out, that was it. We had to stop seeing each other. I was no longer Caroline Flack, TV presenter, I was Caroline Flack, Prince Harry's bit of rough."

She also did not mince words when describing Prince Harry. "The thing about Prince Harry is that he has no choice. He's not some egotistical rock star who wants loads of attention," she added. "That is his life. He didn't ask for it, he just has to deal with it."

Another Harry the British beauty dated was One Direction's Harry Styles, who she met on "The X Factor" in 2011. He was 17, she was 31.

"I already knew that he had a crush on me, he'd made it pretty obvious," she recalled. "It was flattering and I found it amusing. He was a kind of cheeky man/boy with a captivating smile who got what he wanted."

Flack wrote that she didn't mind their huge age gap at first, although they decided to keep their relationship away from the public.

"It began to go wrong when Harry was pictured coming out of my house one morning," she recounted. "And once that was out, it was open season. After that anyone could say anything. In the street people started shouting at me 'paedophile' and 'pervert.'"

According to the host, the insults hurled at her were "vicious" and "nasty," with one of Harry Styles' fans even threatening to kill her at one point. One fan magazine pictured her as a voodoo doll, "With arrows (pins) pointing to bits of my anatomy," she wrote.

While Flack maintains that she did not hurt anybody by being in a relationship with a much younger man, she admitted that her self-esteem hit bottom after the experience. She wrote, "I actually started questioning who I really was. Am I fat? Am I old? Am I ugly?"

According to the Daily Mail UK, after Flack split from the British pop star, she dated music producer Jack Street, but the two have called it quits last month.

Flack was last year's winner of the celebrity dance show "Strictly Come Dancing."

Her book comes out on Oct. 22.
