There are only a few weeks left before Season 5 of "Grimm" premieres on NBC, and the official synopsis and pictures of the premiere episode have been released. Meanwhile, cast member David Giuntoli has spoken about Juliette's fate in the season, saying the character won't be back. Monroe and Rosalee's marriage will also reportedly face challenges in the upcoming season.
According to International Business Times, cast member Giuntoli, who plays the lead role in the series as Detective Nick Burkhardt, has ended speculations that his character's wife, Juliette, played by Bitsie Tulloch, will eventually come back in Season 5. It can be recalled that Juliette died in the previous season after Trubel killed to save Nick's life in the finale episode. Since then, it has been widely speculated that Juliette may not be really dead or may come back in one way or another to the show.
In Giuntoli's interview with TV Line, however, he said that there's no point in bringing the character back and that "there have been no signs of her" even if they've already shot most of the episodes for Season 5.
"When a supernatural show proves to its audience that its characters are mortal and can indeed die, it ups the stakes. If we know our people can survive anything, what's the point of toying with their fates? We don't want to be that show that can fix anything, including death, with the perfect potion," he said.
Meanwhile, Moviepilot reports that Rosalee's (Bree Turner) addiction may come back in Season 5, which may affect her marriage with Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell). According to the report, Rosalee's drug addiction will haunt her again in Season 5, which will in turn cause "major problems" between her and her husband.
