The production of "Penny Dreadful" Season 3 is currently ongoing, and various news about the upcoming storylines and new characters have been circulating online.
According to Youth Health Mag, the new season will not just be revolving around Eva Green's character, Vanessa Ives.
Green was recently seen in Dublin for the shooting of the latest season of the show. According to reports, Vanessa will encounter more evil and will also experience greater struggles as "Penny Dreadful" returns for Season 3.
Meanwhile, there are also reports circulating that the show will also bring Ethan Chandler (Josh Harnett) into the spotlight. According to some sources, Season 3 might show the story behind Ethan's transformations during the full moon. Viewers will reportedly see how Ethan became a werewolf and learn all about his past.
Christian Today also previously reported that there will be new horror characters in the upcoming season. According to the site, Harry Treadaway will play Frankenstein, Reeve Carney will play Dorian Gray and Rory Kinnear will play the creature character, John Clare.
It was also earlier reported that a new literary character will be featured in the season, as Shazad Latif will play Dr. Henry Jekyll, a character created by Robert Louis Stevenson in his book "The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde."
Other character additions include Dr. Alexander Sweet, to be played by Christian Camargo, who is a zoologist who will become friends with Vanessa and Kaetenay, to be played by Wes Studi. He is a Native American who will develop a deep connection with Ethan.
It was also earlier reported that the show will be bringing back Patti LuPone as a series regular. She will be playing the role of Dr. Seward, who will be Vanessa's unconventional doctor.
"Penny Dreadful" Season 3 is slated to run for nine episodes and is expected to be released in 2016.
