Xperia Z5 and Compact, Sony's latest flagship smartphones are now out in the market and so are the reviews.
According to The Sydney Morning Herald, Xperia Z5 and Compact are the same phones in two different sizes. The Xperia Z5 Compact has a 4.6-inch screen 720p screen while Xperia Z5's 5.2-inch screen is full HD at 1080p. Both phone are said to be impressive in terms of function even if they are not the prettiest in the market.
But the design is not really all the bad even when compared to the rounded edges of the iPhone 6s or the curvy of Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. The sides of both Xperia phones are made of smooth plastic but is designed in a way that makes the latest Xperia phones comfortable to the grip. Over all the design is good with its frosted glass back and glossy front that make the phones look classy.
What the phones may lack in design the cameras make up for. According to the SMH, Sony's optics are said to be behind the best smartphones today. Both phones are equipped with a 23-megapixel camera that performs well in most situations not to mention the setting for manual photography that have been included in the phone's system.
The only difference in the internal specs of Xperia z5 and Xperia Compact is the RAM which is 3GB and 2GB respectively. Other than that, both have Snapdragon 810 processor, with 32GB of internal storage and 2900mAh Non-Removable Li-Ion. Moreover, both phones have impressive battery performance, fingerprint reader, and support for Sony's Remote Play. Both phones are said to be waterproof. Compact is said to be as powerful as the bigger phone so it can be a good choice for those who prefer smaller smartphones.
Both are available in black and white but the larger model has green and gold variants while compact has yellow and pink variants. The phones are quite pricey with Compact priced at around $850 and Z5 at around $999. Given the specs, would you agree the price is worth it?
