The manga 'Mahō Shōjo Nante Mō Ii Desu Kara' or, in English, 'I've Had Enough of Being a Magical Girl' will be getting an anime adaptation and will be broadcast starting early 2016.
The anime adaptation of the hit magic-comedy manga 'Mahō Shōjo Nante Mō Ii Desu Kara' by Sui Futami was revealed last Saturday in the November issue of Tokuma Shoten's Animage magazine. It is also announced that Pinejam will be the one in-charge of the production of the project's animation.
Mouiidesukara, the official website of the 'Mahō Shōjo Nante Mō Ii Desu Kara' anime adaptation, has revealed that the anime will begin its broadcast early next year.
According to the Anime News Network, "The comedy manga follows Yuzuka Hanami, a young girl who has [a] few friends but who can do anything. One day, Yuzuka gets accosted by a strange creature named Miton who is digging through a trash dump. Miton tells Yuzuka, 'you have the makings of a magical girl' and seems extremely suspicious. When Yuzuka is suddenly transformed into a magical girl, she's wearing a bathing suit."
Earth Star Entertainment's Comic Earth Star is the website that hosts the 'Mahō Shōjo Nante Mō Ii Desu Kara' manga by Futami. It was first published in March 31 and only has 16 chapters so far.
In the discussion thread about the anime adaptation of the manga in Anime News Network, some anime enthusiasts expressed fear that the anime adaptation will be only 3 minutes short.
"Only 16 chapters so far, most of which are just four pages long, plus the author keeps missing deadlines, even after they switched the publishing schedule from weekly to fortnightly," said user 'vonPeterhof' in a comment.
Another anime enthusiasts also commented in the discussion thread that the 'Mahō Shōjo Nante Mō Ii Desu Kara' might be a comedy, but others might not find it funny.
"I'm sure there'll be a good number of people who [won't] find it funny if it's simply about a girl who suddenly finds her clothes changed for bathing suits and becomes embarrassed over it, and we're expected to laugh at that (and I guess some people will find other kinds of pleasure too). It could very well be [a] social commentary on the level of Pleasantville or South Park though," said a user named 'leafy sea dragon.'
