Fans of "New Girl" continue to question the network's decision to include Megan Fox as one of its recurring guest stars for Season 5. After the network announced their casting choice, executive producer Liz Meriweather released a statement telling fans to just accept their decision to invite Fox to appear as Reagan on "New Girl."
However, this didn't stop the show's fans, as well as fans of Zooey Deschanel, from questioning the network. At one point, they also questioned Fox's acting capabilities as well as her ability to make people laugh in a scripted show.
Twitter user @juliet wrote, "I'm still not over Megan Fox being in New Girl. I'm so ndkckvkv."
Another person tweeted, "All these women could have replaced Zooey Deschanel in New Girl, but instead they bring in Megan Fox."
Twitter user @Megan Louise wrote, "Watching as much New Girl as possible before Megan Fox comes in and disrupts everything that is good in the world."
Another person wrote, "The Megan Fox stepping in for Zooey Deschanel on New Girl thing ruins my day every time I think about it."
Meanwhile, Deschanel herself already showed support for Fox when she expressed her excitement over the cast via Twitter.
"The lovely and amazing @meganfox will be on #NewGirl season 5," Deschanel wrote.
In other news, there were also some fans who were one with Deschanel's excitement over Fox's casting on "New Girl" season 5.
Twitter user @marisa_laurel wrote, "Megan Fox is gonna start being in New Girl starting in January!! I could cry of excitement.
Another fan wrote, "OMG. It's temporary, but still... OMG. OMG. Megang Fox replacing Zooey Deschanel on New Girl. During seasons 5."
Twitter user @sommertgray wrote, "Wait Megan Fox is taking Zooey's place in New Girl??? I'm suddenly gonna start watching that show again."
"New Girl" Season 5 will premiere on FOX sometime next year.
