"Dancing With The Stars" Alek Skarlatos' pro partner Emma Slater accidentally hit his nose. According to TMZ, one of their DWTS source told them that, "Skarlatos and his partner Emma Slater were in rehearsals Monday morning when she accidentally hit him in the face with an elbow."
The medics came to the studio to check on Alek and the early prognosis showed that his nose got broken. He will still need to get an X-ray done to confirm the extent of it.
According to Celebrity Dirty Laundry, Alek and Emma are set to perform live in the "Dancing With The Stars" stage the dance that they were practicing. When the accident happened, they only have six hours left before the live performance.
Fortunately, Alek and Emma were able to perform their Rumba routine and got the score of 29 out of 40. Alek is a war veteran and a broken nose is nothing compared to what he has been through. "Dancing With The Stars" week 5 theme is about "Switch-ups."
It was America who voted for Alek and Emma to pair off this week. So Alek got his nose broken not by his original partner Lindsay Arnold.
As for performance, the judges think that Alek needs to be more expressive with his emotions and let it all out, as Julianne said, "I think we all just witnessed something happening on the dance floor and it's ok to show that you enjoyed it." And Maksim agreed with Julianne pointing out to Alek that "You can let your emotion be a part of the dance." As for Bruno, he thinks that the way Alek moved is "very nurturing and very caring." Carrie Ann did not get to have her comment since there was no time left but instead she gave them a "thumbs-up."
