Trick or Treat! With Halloween just around the corner, parents are more likely as excited as the kids to have the home ready for the most spooktacular holiday.

The family might have a motif for an annual Halloween event. And decorating according to the motif would be expensive if it varies every year. However, fret not! We've compiled some awesome ideas for your Halloween-ready home.

1. Pumpkins

Pumpkins never grow old and out of style. One thing to consider is buying them from grocery stores which would save you a dime or two. Picking your own pumpkin from farms would be hefty expensive than grabbing it from the nearest groceries.

If you are tired of the usual orange pumpkin, give it a new look by spray-painting it together with your kids and loved ones. Be as creative as you can.

2. Halloween Jars

Transform your Mason jars into a collection of spookiness. You can put plastic spiders, cactuses, twigs, terrariums inside. This works best with black, orange and white color scheme.

You can go as far as putting a plastic skull inside the jars. You can also cover your Mason jars with tissue and put eyes on it to make a mummy jar.

3. Halloween wreaths

Spray paint your Christmas wreaths from last year with black shade. You can put some cotton on it to make an illusion of spider webs. Of course, you can add a spider for a more visually-appealing effect. Hang this on your front door.

4. Skull-printed Cloth

So you have skull-print cloth, pillow case, scarf, etc? Make use of them by changing the pillow cases into spooky skull-printed ones.

You can also hang a trench coat on a hanger and wrap the leg part with the skull-printed scarf to add a spooky ghost effect. Add a hat to make it look real.

5. Halloween Food and Drinks

Spaghetti, pizza, and any food with lots of red in it are some of the food you can prepare for Halloween party. You can also make or buy cookies that are in skull, spider, pumpkin, etc shapes. Spooky cupcakes are also yummy.

Don't forget to serve red wine for adults and raspberry juice for the kids.
