Neighbor Alleges Gwyneth Paltrow’s Gate is ‘Too High’

The "Iron man 3" actress, Gwyneth Paltrow, is hated by many people and the latest addition to the "haters-list" is reportedly a neighbor who is furious about the height of her home's "gate".

According to TMZ, Paltrow's Los Angeles neighbor has filed a complaint for building a gate, which towers way above the permitted gate-height. Her gate is around 9 feet tall, almost 3 feet higher than the allowed stature.

Apparently, the annoyed neighbor claims that no other celebrity residents like Harrison Ford, Courtney-Thorne Smith and Oliver Stone have any kind of construction that violate building rules, so why should Paltrow get any special treatment?

In response to the complaint, the Los Angeles City Department of Building and Safety confirmed that it was investigating the matter and Paltrow will be given 45 days to fix the violation. If she fails to do so, she will have to pay a fine of maximum $900, reports The Cambodia Herald.

Paltrow has a hater following. Be it her comments on the "American lifestyle" or ruining hubby Chris Martin's Dreamhouse buying plan, people have always found her controlling, annoying and irritating. The Star magazine even named her the "most hated celebrity" of 2012.

But why do people hate her so much?

"As a culture we respect women who have earned their place in the 1 percent. Oprah, Madonna, Beyonce. Gwyneth won an Oscar by the age of 27, was engaged to Brad Pitt, became a Vogue cover girl, and married a rock star. They want to see you sweat," Natalie Rotman, a pop culture expert said to Fox News.

Another Hollywood insider claimed it's just the "Elitism". The Guardian claims Paltrow has a good side. According to the feature in Guardian:

"if you speak to people who know Paltrow, a different side emerges. Friends says she is self-deprecating, with a wry sense of humor and a ready willingness to poke fun at herself."

"She's a woman's woman," says one acquaintance. "She's actually very likeable but for some reason it doesn't translate."
