"Dark Souls 3" News: Beta Now Available for Download for Those Who Have a Special Code

The network test beta of the upcoming action role-playing video game "Dark Souls 3" can now be downloaded from the North American PlayStation Store as confirmed by publisher Bandai Namco.

But before excited fans start heading to the online PlayStation game store, this is a heads up. The entry to the network test beta is limited to the lucky few who got a special code from the "Dark Souls 3" Network Stress Test lottery after signing up for it last month, accordint to VCPost.

As stated in the website for "Dark Souls 3", in order to sign up for the Network Stress Test lottery last month, a certain strict criteria had to be met. The basic entry requirements stated that the participants had to be 18 or older, must be able to participate in all test periods, must agree to the Dark Souls III Network Stress Test version user agreement. And as stated, participation to the event was limited to those in the Americas and Asia who have PlayStation 4 and access to the Internet, a Sony Entertainment Network account and PlayStation Plus membership. Most importantly the testers will be required to be able to actively participate in the test and provide reports on bugs and other issues.

So for the lucky once who received the code, they can download the "Dark Souls 3" network test beta. Those you don't have the code can always stand by for more announcements from Banda Namco or wait for the games official release.

Bandai Namco doesn't have a specific date yet but for Europe and America, "Dark Souls 3" has been confirmed to be released in April 2016. On the other hand, it is confirmed that the game will be released in Japan on  March 24 next year. The game will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows platforms.
