Things will get morbid for Jake (Andy Samberg) in the "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" Season 3 episode 4 as he deals with the case of a serial killer.
According to Latin Post, although Jake was seen fixing up some personal issues in his love life in the previous episode, he will need to take his job more seriously in the new episode.
According to a source of the site, Jake will get mixed up with the investigation of this serial killer, which requires him to do the investigation off the radar. This reportedly means that he will be doing the investigation out of the public's eye and also of the precinct's.
With this, he will reportedly ask the help of his mentor and friend, former Captain Holt (Andre Braugher). Although Holt is no longer in the task force and is now assigned as a PR man, it was reported that he will be helping Jake in his mission with his new skills and role in the department. It will also require Holt to do more than his job allows.
Meanwhile, Terry (Terry Crews) will get a new obsession, which will reportedly ligthen up the next episode. Rosa (Stephanie Beatriz) and Amy (Melissa Fumero), on the other hand, will be forced to deal with an "old adversary."
In other news, Entertainment Weekly exclusively reported that Nick Offerman will be appearing in the show this season. According to the site, Offerman will play the character named Frederick, who is reportedly the ex-boyfriend of Holt. It was reported that the character will be appearing in the November 22 episode of the show. As of writing, there are still very few details about the character and the storyline which will involve him.
"Brooklyn Nine-Nine" Season 3 episode 4 is titled "The Oolong Slayer" and will air on October 18.
