Kaley Cuoco and Johnny Galecki slammed dating rumors when both posted friends-only photos of them on their social media pages. The two, who are former sweethearts, are rumored to be dating secretly after Kaley filed divorce from her husband, Ryan Sweeting.
"Big Bang Theory" fans have high hopes that the on-screen partners would end up together, especially that Kaley has now ended things with Ryan, Hollywood Life reports. Johnny was Kaley's boyfriend for two years.
"So sorry to disappoint, but no home wreckers or secret flings going on here. Me and @sanctionedjohnnygalecki are just the best of buds- Leonard and Penny will just have to suffice!!!" Kaley wrote on her Instagram page.
On the same day, Johnny also shared with his Instagram followers their photo together, which seemed to be taken on the same day. He captioned it with: "sanctionedjohnnygaleckiNo scandals / home wreckers / pregnancies here, y'all. Just profound friendship. @normancook."
Kaley and Johnny play a married couple, Penny and Leonard, in CBS' "Big Bang Theory." The show hit the air waves in 2007, and according to the 40-year-old actor, their secret relationship started as soon as their characters were revealed in the show. During an interview with CBS Watch! Magazine, he claimed that they preferred to keep their relationship under wraps so they would not affect the characters they portrayed, Daily Mail reports.
"We're dear friends, still," said Johnny. "Kaley's not just an ex, she's a part of my life."
Before Kaley and Ryan announced their divorce, she explained how it was like working with her previous boyfriend during a segment interview at "Watch What Happens Live," according to Entertainment Online. Kaley and Johnny dated five years ago, and for Kaley, both of them have already moved on. The 29-year-old actress even said that Johnny is one of her best friends. During the time, she even bragged that her ex-husband loves Johnny.
Regarding Kaley and Ryan's divorce, meanwhile, "she realized she wants to be with a guy who has a job and is motivated. All of Ryan's friends knew it was going to end bad," said a source.
