Firefighters raced to actor Jon Hamm's Los Feliz home when the fire alarm went off early on Monday morning. What caused the smoke is not yet known. The firefighters checked the building thoroughly for any kind of blaze and flame threats and when they were convinced that all was well, left with relief.
However, there is some more exciting news for Jon Hamm's fans. It is more interesting if you are a Harry Potter fan too.
Apparently, Jon Hamm and Daniel Radcliffe are appearing in a "Young Doctor" series. Will that be something along the lines of "Grey's Anatomy"? Not really.
According to a feature at the Los Angeles Times:
"The four-episode series, produced by the BBC and airing in the U.S. on Ovation, follows the exploits of a newly minted doctor as he undertakes his first job at a hospital in rural Russia during the revolution. The series is based on Russian author Mikhail Bulgakov's short-story collection, "A Country Doctor's Notebook," which drew inspiration from Bulgakov's real life experiences.
Hamm will play the show's narrator, an older version of the doctor, addicted to opiates and looking back on his youth. Radcliffe will play the doctor in his younger days."
The series has already been aired in the U.K. and was a huge success. The makers hope to draw a lot of American admiration too, reports LA Times.
When not shooting or escaping "fire scares", the actor likes catching up with "good friends". Hamm was spotted in Mumbai, India, partying with the "In My City" girl and Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra.
According to Bollywoodlife.com:
"We learn that 42-year-old hunk had met PeeCee almost a year ago in Los Angeles when the sultry Bollywood babe was preparing for her international music debut. So when Priyanka heard about Jon's arrival in Mumbai, she quickly organized a secret dinner date with the actor while her close buddies Mubina Rattonsey and Srishti Arya tagged along, and obviously the duo was more than excited to meet the American star."
