"Dragon Ball Z: Super Butoden" will be out soon in the market for Nintendo 3DS, and the video game publisher Bandai Namco teases its avid fans with an English trailer. The recently launched clip reveals a mixed bag of characters of the game. Meanwhile, article has been published via Nintendo Life, which gives fair review of the 3DS game.
According to Siliconera, those who have pre-ordered "Dragon Ball Z: Super Butoden" will get an extra bonus of the game. Using a code, customers who pre-order the game can download the "Dragon Ball Z: Super Butoden 2," which will appear within 48 hours.
The extra bonus of "Dragon Ball Z: Super Butoden" is valid only if the pre-order is made from Amazon. In addition, customers who purchased the pre-order will have a code to unlock other playable characters like "Baby Goku, Kid Goku, Kid Gohan, Garlic Jr., Metal Cooler, and Super Vegito."
Although "Dragon Ball Z: Super Butoden" is not yet available in the market, there are a few privileged people who have tested the video game. Nintendo Life is one of the few who could test and give review of the much awaited Dragon Ball Z franchise.
The review "Dragon Ball Z: Super Butoden" highlighted the modes, character roster, and combat system. Nintendo Life says that the video game only offers the story mode and adventure mode. There is nothing much in the story mode because die-hard Dragon ball z fans know that the storyline has not changed and has been retold countless times.
The adventure mode of "Dragon Ball Z: Super Butoden" on the other hand has a plot that is exclusive to the game. It is "little more than an excuse to have all of the vanquished villains return for one big world-ending series of battles, but it's the finer points of the narrative that make it worthwhile."
However, the "Dragon Ball Z: Super Butoden" playable character roster is not really pretty impressive. Of course, the main characters are all present, however it cant be denied that it obviously lack secondary personalities. It has always been expected that there are vast characters in a Dragon Ball video game. But in this case, there are "many fantastic characters relegated to what are essentially cameo appearances," and that somehow the cause of disappointment. So it is fair to say that it has a "lacklustre character roster."
As for the combat system, one cant complain because it is fast paced and gives an enjoyable amount of depth.
"Dragon Ball Z: Super Butoden" is slated for release in a much earlier time in Europe on Oct. 16, and in North America on Oct. 20.
