Apple News and Updates: New 4K and 5K iMac and Magic Accessories Now Available at the Apple Store

After months of rumors and assumptions, Apple has finally announced its latest additions to the iMac line. The new 21.5-inch iMac with Retina 4K Display and 27-inch iMac with Retina 5K Display models are now out for grabs.

According to Mac Rumors, the all new desktop computers from Apple boast of its faster processors and graphics, two Thunderbolt 2 ports and up to 2TB of Fusion Drive storage for stock configurations. Specifically, 4K 21.5-inch iMac has a 3.1GHz Core i7 Broadwell processor and integrated Intel Iris Pro Graphics 6200. On the other hand, the 5K 27-inch iMacs have 3.2GHz to 3.3GHz Core i5 and i7 Skylake processors and dedicated AMD Radeon R9 GPUs.

"From the first iMac to today, the spirit of iMac has never wavered - deliver the ultimate desktop experience with the latest technologies, gorgeous displays and cutting-edge designs," Mac Rumors quotes Philip Schiller, Apple's senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing. "These are the most stunning iMacs we've ever made. With our gorgeous new Retina displays, more powerful processors and graphics and all-new Magic accessories, the new iMac continues to redefine the ultimate desktop experience."

As fitting companions to the new iMacs, Apple also launched the Magic Accessories which the Apple website dubs as "the best way to click, scroll, swipe, and type." These Magic accessories are the all-new Magic Keyboard, Magic Mouse 2, and Magic Trackpad 2.

According to IGN, the three accessories have been reengineered to include rechargeable batteries. Because of that, not only are the magic accessories seamless and comfortable to use, they are also considered environment friendly. The Magic Keyboard costs $99 and Magic Mouse 2 is at but both come with every new iMac. On the other hand, the more expensive Magic Trackpad 2 has to be bought separately at $129.

The 21.5-inch 4K iMac and the 27-inch 5K iMac are both available from Apple.com or at Apple store, starting at $1,499 and $1,799, respectively. Would the specs be worth the price?
