Queen Anne Mansion, located at 1450 Masonic Avenue, is now in the market again and is asking for a much lower price at $4.5 million.
The mansion went into the market first at a whopping $5.995 million asking price in February 2014. It went several sad, for the seller of course, price cuts before it was able to sell at $5.375 million. Today, a year later, the same mansion is back for sale at an even lower price at $4.5 million.
So, what is with the big price cuts within just a year and a half? Apparently, the property is under renovation right now. Potential buyers are even asked to sign a waiver of liability for touring the property. Interior photos are not available, so only touring the house will give the buyers a look at the house.
Queen Anne Mansion is considered historic by the Planning Department of San Francisco. So, renovations are under restriction. The 6,000-square-foot house boasts stained glass, a Moorish turret, a hot tub and Richardsonian arched entry porch that look to be untouched.
The mansion has 6 bedrooms with the master suite on upper level. There are 5.5 baths, 2 family rooms on main and lower level, a formal dining room, 3 fireplace, 2 kitchens on main and lower level and centralized heating. The lower level has a separate entrance and can be entertainment space or guest suite.
The 4-storey property of Victorian style has front and rear landscaping, patios, decks, bay window, double pane windows storage area and central vacuum. From the old house, one will have a breath-taking view of sweeping ocean and North Bay views , city lights, Golden Gate Bridge, park and Mt. Tamalpais. A large balcony that is perfect for afternoon coffee or tea is also available.
Mark Colwell currently handles the property.
Do you think Queen Anne Mansion will be able to find itself a new owner in a short period of time?
