Looks like Tom Hiddleston sees himself in an iconic role!
There's no doubt that Tom Hiddleston is one of the sought-after and hottest English actor nowadays. Who would argue with that? While there were speculations that Daniel Craig opts to step down in portraying the iconic "James Bond" role, Hiddleston's name then appears to be in consideration to land the "007" role.
The "Crimson Peak" actor actually has no hesitation in wanting to portray the suave agent. In an interview with ET Online, the 34-year-old actor claimed that he would "love" to be playing the role in the Bond film if ever he was given the opportunity.
According to ET Online's article, the "Thor" actor said, "I think any British actor that gets a phone call that says, 'Would you like to play James Bond?' There's no more enticing question than that."
Hiddleston also said. "Who on God's green earth knows who's gonna play the next James Bond? [But] I'd love to be in a Bond film at some point."
The "Thor: Ragnarok" actor even admitted that whether the role offered to him in the "Bond" movie may be big or small, he would willingly accept the part.
"Even if [it happens] when I'm in my 70s, standing in the background and giving James Bond directions," Hiddleston said.
Hiddleston can clearly pull off the "007" role and who can argue that he is just perfect for the part. Actor Damian Lewis was earlier reported to be the first choice to play in the "Bond" movie if ever Craig steps out of the role. Aside from Lewis, "The Wire" actor Idris Elba is also among the favorites to land the role and even the "Black Hawk Down" actor Tom Hardy.
