Julie Berman, alumna of "General Hospital," got a role on NBC's primetime drama "Chicago Med," which happens to be the latest spin-off of "Chicago Fire." Berman is set to play as Dr. Toni Zanetti.
According to Michael Fairman Soaps, Julie was part of "General Hospital" for eight long years wherein she played the role of Lulu Spencer. It was in 2013 when she left GH.
TV Line shared that Berman's character as Dr. Toni Zanetti is a brilliant physician in her field of practice. In this show, she will take on a role as a doctor unlike in GH. Dr. Zanetti is known as a smart, confident and sexy surgeon who will definitely make heads turn as she walks along the hospital hallways.
The Emmy award-winning actress is not only appearing on "Chicago Med" but she is also set to appear in the original Hulu comedy series "Casual," says Soap Opera Spy. "Casual's" new episodes air on Wednesday nights, and Julie is set to appear for three episodes. She will be portraying the role of Leia. In the show "Casual," you will see a different side of Berman and her comedic skills will be evident in her character.
Since Julie left "General Hospital" in 2013, her schedule has been tight and she has been visible in different shows. Reportedly, the talented actress also guest-starred on the CBS comedy show "Two and a Half Men" and just recently on CW's "Jane the Virgin."
For those avid fans of Julie on "General Hospital," you sure would love to see her take on another role as a confident surgeon. A character that is way different from what she used to portray while she was still part of GH's cast.
Julie is set to appear on the third episode of "Chicago Med" which will premiere on Tuesday, Nov. 17 at 9 pm EST/8 pm CST. Also, do not forget to tune in to the Hulu original series "Casual" Wednesday nights for more of Julie's shows.
