Ellen DeGeneres and Portia De Rossi Buy Mansion in Montecito for $26.5 Million (PHOTOS)

Daytime talk show host, Ellen DeGeneres and her wife, Portia De Rossi, have reportedly purchased a huge mansion in Montecito, Santa Barbara, for a good $26.5 million.

According to the listing records, the home is a 10,522 square feet property sitting on prime 13 acres of land. The residence comprises of six bedrooms and seven bathrooms and has nine fireplaces.

The home had caught famous designer, John Saladino's attention in 2001. He was so mesmerized by the grandeur of the place that he immediately purchased the place and embarked on a passionate restoration and redesigning project on the house.

The newly redesigned home has an elaborate gallery leading into an entry foyer. A formal living room, a dining area, a breakfast room, a two-level office suite, a dressing room and a sitting room are some of its living spaces. A modern country-style kitchen is also a part of the property.

Outside, the home has a large pool, stretching greens, ocean-view and ample parking space.

The listing describes the home as:

"Thirteen acres of glorious park-like grounds feature spectacular gardens including the atrium, east terrace, agave garden, olive allee, an "ocean-view" swimming pool, shady vine covered pergola, and a sun drenched lawn is highlighted with a 2000 year old Roman column, which adds an important note of permanence. Finally, the quarter mile driveway winds through a park with some 2,000 trees in a variety of shapes and sizes and tones of green. Both relaxed and proper, with deep-down satisfying comfort, old and new, classical and modern, Saladino created a home of serenely timeless interiors and gardens, that are his hallmark! This extraordinary 6 bedroom 10,000 square foot stone villa, nestled on magical ocean and mountain view terraced gardens, beckons a new owner to revel in its beauty. A true masterpiece and a private paradise, "entertaining lies at the very heart of life at the villa." He took the best of architecture from the Golden Age of the 1920's and infused the villa's structure, furnishings and gardens with the comfort and technology of this century. That accomplishment, in itself, is a mark of the genius of John Saladino."

DeGeneres has a large property portfolio. She owns homes in Beverly Hills, multiple residences in Hidden Valley and some others in Los Angeles too. Recently, DeGeneres and Rossi opened doors of their stylish Santa Monica Ranch to Elle Décor. It has eight cabins and two big barns.

With so many properties to take care of, DeGeneres does have some problems. Recently, there was a fire scare on her farm in the Camarillo area of California. Reportedly there was fire but the firefighters managed to douse the flames before it got out of hand, reports The New York Daily.
