The New York Yankees' third baseman, Alex Rodriguez, has sold his Miami beach-front mansion for $30 million. A-Rod had purchased the home back in 2010 for $7.4 million when he was dating Cameron Diaz and spent almost around $15 million on renovations. However, he seems to have reaped back all the investment on the home with the massive sale price.
According to Curbed, A-Rod first listed the home for $38 million in August, 2012. However, failing to sell he then took it off the market in January 2013 and started renting out the mansion to some wealthy Sheikhs. News of the home being re-listed never surfaced again, so the home must have sold in a private deal, perhaps to those sheikhs maybe!
The Biscayne Bay home has beautiful ocean views. The 19,861 square feet property consists of nine bedrooms and 11 baths. The residence has a huge theater, spacious living and game rooms along with an eat-in kitchen. The home's outdoors has a still pool with a lounge and a fireplace and sitting area. The home has huge glass windows that give access to the beautiful views of the surrounding area.
The place is also hurricane insured and made with 'thick impact glass' and has a 'home generator'. A batting cage also exists for some baseball practice in the afterhours. The residence is well protected with surrounding walls, a massivee gate and 16 security cameras.

One of the reasons why A-Rod took off the property from the market was because he wanted to concentrate on his recovery and comeback and the real estate deal was proving to be a little distracting, a source told NY Post.
The sports star has been battling an injured arm and hip for which he underwent surgery. He has already started his on-field practice. This was his third week. According to ESPN:
"The 37-year-old, recuperating from left hip surgery on Jan. 16, fielded grounders and took 25 swings during a batting practice session in an indoor cage Monday at the Yankees' minor league complex.
