YouTube Gaming is bringing a new update to its game streaming service. Now members will be able to stream gameplay directly from mobile phones.
According to Tech Crunch, YouTube has announced that mobile users can now stream their gameplay with the use of the app called Mobile Capture. This announcement sounds good to the fans of Blizzard's digital card game, "Hearthstone." In addition, YouTube is also going head to head with Twitch with its new program that reportedly allows users to subscribe to their favorite streams and support them via donation.
With this update, it will be easier for the users to add games to the account's collection and the mobile app will also take note of the user's search history. Needless to say, the website's watch page has undertaken a redesign.
Last month, YouTube Gaming became the subject of ridicule in one segment of TV personality and comedian Jimmy Kimmel's "Jimmy Kimmel Live." The gaming community did not take the joke too well and has reacted negatively to the comedian's video. Jimmel Kimmel reportedly received death threats, insults and ill-wishes from so many gamers and the said video receive a significant number of "dislikes."
Later on Jimmy Kimmel reportedly posted a follow-up video talking about the way gamers reacted to that said segment. Eventually, the comedian ended his feud with the gaming community by trying out this game streaming service by YouTube with the help of Markiplier and MissesMae.
Now the gaming community, especially the fans of "Hearthstone" can forget the Jimmy Kimmel issue and rejoice that YouTube Gaming service has expanded to Android.
"Hearthstone" is an online free-to-play collectible digital card game brought by Blizzard Entertainment as part of the Warcraft series.
