NBA 2K16 has just been released last Sept. 29 with its latest addition such as the MyCareer mode, among others, and now Visual Concepts and 2K Sports are said to have begun working on NBA 2K17.
This news has begun swirling after Lang Whitaker has tweeted a photo of him with fellow writer Sekou Smith and former NBA player Rick Fox wearing what seems to be suits with something like sensors for motion capture. The photo was captioned, "Thanks @Ronnie2K! 2K17 is gonna be lit!" On the other hand "Ronnie 2K" has not updated his Twitter page with anything about 2K17 so far.
Then NBA TV has retweeted the same photo but captions, "@RickFox, @langwhitaker & @SekouSmithNBA getting the full @NBA2K experience! (Caption this!) #NBAHangTime"
Aside from the twitted "groufie" of Lang Whitaker, Rick Fox, and Sekou Smith, Whitaker has also tweeted a selfie and captioned it, "So this is happening. #nbahangtime"
According to Design and Trend, it was too early to tell what roles the three on the picture will partake in the said "NBA 2K17," but having said that Whitaker and Fox are known to work on TV, it mentioned about the possibility that 2K Sports might be adding a new segment for the next installment. It could likely be a weekly NBA recap segment to "2K17's" MyCareer and MyGM mode.
It looks like 2K Sports doesn't like wasting time on the next version. But shouldn't they be focusing on bug fixes for "NBA 2K16" first? According to GottaBeMobile, earlier this week, the much awaited "NBA 2K16" PS4 console patch finally released to fix the "NBA 2K16" problems that have been reported by PS4 users. The patch includes improvements to the Pro-Am mode and improvements to MyCareer, MyCourt, MyGM and MyLeague.
