Celebrity Real Estate: 'Bachelorette' Star Ed Swiderski's Landlord Charged Him $12,000 Worth of Damages

Ed Swiderski, a former 'Bachelorette' contestant, got screwed out of his apartment security deposit when his landlord charged him $12,000 worth of damages.

Together with his wife, they moved out of the pad in Chicago's West Loop this past July. They left it exactly the same way they found it - minus reasonable wear and tear - and never got back the security deposit worth $3,700.

According to TMZ, the lawsuit filed by Ed's landlord, Robert O'Bryan, stated that Swiderski was charged for the following:

$100 for missing chandelier crystals; $60 for missing parking remotes; $1,150 for a new carpet after dog feces and urine stains were found; $1,500 for fixing 5 doors with dog scratches; $4,950 in repainting costs.

According to the landlord, he charged Swiderski for all things that weren't "regular wear and tear.''

Swiderski however says it's all untrue, because he cleaned the place, and the very same day he moved out, a new tenant moved in.

The landlord tells TMZ that the damage he found during the inspection was "shocking" and says he was willing to just take his deposit, which would have been more than $9K.

After being charged $12K for damages, Ed Swiderski of Jillian Harris' Bachelorette Season 5 is reported to be suing the landlord for $11,100.

Wet Paint said that Ed and his wife moved out in July and didn't get their $3,700 security deposit back because of the condition of the apartment they left. The couple claimed it was just "reasonable wear and tear," but landlord Robert O'Bryan charged them for a whole slew of damages.

As an adorable dog was living with the couple, it's possible the apartment was left with some mess. But it may not be worth $12K in charges.

Is the landlord to be believed or is Swwiderski really innocent of the charges against him? Weigh in on the comments section below.
