Comedian/actor Steve Martin's mansion in the Caribbean town of Lurin, St. Barthelemy, has reportedly hit the open listing market with an asking price of $11.2 million. Martin purchased the manse sometime back in 2008.
According to Curbed, Martin rented out the luxury pad for $28,000 per month and had no trouble finding a renter, ever. His successful stint at renting the place at such a high price must have driven him to list the residence.
The residence is a 28, 191 square feet home, comprising of four bedrooms, four full and one half bathroom, according to the listing.
Interiors feature hardwood, tiled and carpeted flooring with large wood framed glass doors and windows.
Living spaces include a formal drawing room, sitting area and a dining room as well. The home has a modern kitchen and a media room too.
Outside, the home has a lagoon, a lily pond, a pool, a Balinese-style gazebo and beautiful stone walkways paved between the green spread.
The listing of the home lies with Sotheby's International Realty. The listing reads:
"Villa Au Soleil, beautifully situated high in the hills of Lurin, offers luxury, ambiance and privacy. This is an ideal vacation home for those who enjoy entertaining. Its gourmet kitchen is adjacent to a formal dining room and its spacious living room includes a media area. The outdoor living spaces include multiple terraces, a sun deck and a spectacular two-tiered infinity pool. Lush tropical gardens with a lily pond and a fountain enhance the back of the villa and provide a setting for a Balinese style gazebo. There are four bedrooms with baths en suite featuring outdoor showers and a guest bath. The view is a 180 degree panorama of St. Jean Baie and the sunsets here are spectacular. The new owner will possess one of the finest homes in St. Barth."

If Martin manages to sell the place for the asking price, all the proceeds would probably go to a "child-fund" as he and his 41-year-old wife Anne Stringfield had their first kid in December 2012. They managed to keep the baby's arrival a secret before his rep confirmed the news in February.
More recently, Martin graced the 'Late Show with David Letterman' where he talked and joked about fatherhood and naming the baby.
According to the Huffington Post:
"Letterman then asked the veteran comedian what he and Stringfield decided to name their baby girl. "Conquistador," replied Martin, and added: "I didn't want to go with one of those Hollywood weird names. Conquistador is a statement.""
