Leonardo DiCaprio is set to appear again on the big screen and this time it is for his upcoming western thriller, "The Revenant."
According to Inquisitr, "The Revenant" is based on true events which are inspired by the life of 1820s frontiersman, Hugh Glass, the role played by DiCaprio, who was left dead by his fellow travelers after being attacked by bears. He will then travel back to civilization as he hunts down the men who abandoned him especially fellow trapper, John Fitzgerald (Tom Hardy).

Leo spent nine months in the most remote areas of Canada and Argentina filming the movie and he claimed that making the movie changed him a lot. DiCaprio thinks that the film will have a huge impact to movie fans as he said, "It's going to be one of the most unique film-going experiences that audiences have seen in modern times."
Last Friday, Leo talked to Yahoo! Movies about "The Revenant" and was very proud of it. The film could possibly earn him his fifth Academy Award nomination. He talked about the experiences he and the crew had while making the film and how difficult it was for them to a point that some of the crew left.
During the interview with Yahoo!, the 40-year-old Oscar nominee was asked about the bear attack, if it was a real bear. Leo said that he will not give any specifications about the bear attack scene but he revealed that "it involved cables."
Leo said, "it involved me flying around the forest, and it involved a tremendous amount of rehearsal. And it was pretty agonizing to do." He also revealed that the end result of that scene will definitely superb as he said, "it is going to be one of the most immersive experiences audiences will ever have with what it would be like to come face-to-face with an animal of that magnitude that is incredibly primal."
Leo was also asked if it came to a point that he was going to break considering the report that making the film was really difficult and that he needed to stay for nine months in the freezing cold areas of Canada and Argentina.
The award winning actor revealed that he knows what he was getting into. DiCaprio also shared that the film has been there for awhile already but "nobody was crazy enough to really take this on" given the difficulty that needed to be done in order to achieve the visions of Alejandro González Iñárritu and Emmanuel Lubezki.
As to how hard the shooting was, Leo got this to say, "most of the people were there working incredibly hard." He also added, "Everyone I saw was giving their heart and soul to pursuing his vision (Alejandro's vision)."
"The Revenant" is coming out on Dec. 25 together with "Star Wars: The Force Awakens." When Leo was asked why movie goers should watch his film, he said, "I would never think that we'd be able to compete with Star Wars. But I think when people begin to hear about this movie, they'll want to go see it. And that's all we can hope for."
Meanwhile, Jezebel said that the "The Revenant" looks amazing and the trailer absolutely blew her away.
