As Floyd Gerhart's husband has been confined on a wheelchair after his stroke, she called for a family meeting. Floyd told them that some goons from Kansas City want to buy them out although they would still let the Gerharts run the organization. They started arguing who's going to take over their father, but Floyd said she's going to be in charge of their family empire. Meanwhile, they have no idea where Rye is and Floyd old them to find their brother and bring him home.
Hank Larsson was looking at the evidence from the diner murders wherein one of the victims is a North Dakota judge.
Ed Blomquist sat outside their garage a home, staring at the car that his wife Peggy used to run down Rye. She brought him home still alive but Ed killed him with a garden tool after fighting with him. Peggy and Ed then put his body inside their chest freezer.
Peggy went to work as normal and when she arrived at the hair salon, everyone is talking about the diner murder. Peggy's boss wanted to send her to an out of town seminar the following week, but she tried to make an excuse that it's too pricey and all. The boss asked her about the missing toilet papers.
The goons who wanted to buy out the Gerharts are looking for Rye. They made the typewriter shop owner confess that he sent Rye to the now dead North Dakota judge to free up his accounts in order for him to buy more typewriters and make more money to pay his debts to the Gerharts.
Lou was with his wife Betsy and daughter Molly. He pulled over at the Waffle Hut and told his wife that he needed to take a look again because something isn't adding up. Betsy found a gun in the bushes and gave it to Lou. A suspicious car passed by, which apparently were the goons from Kansas City. Hank pulled them over but the guys insisted they were just passing though towns and were supposedly going to dine at Waffle Hut. Hank found Lou outside the Waffle Hut and told him about the Kansas City guys.
After cleaning up the garage and car, Ed went to the butcher shop and dragged Rye's body. Peggy's friend Constance was with her and said she needed to use Peggy's bathroom. Constance opened the cupboard and found all the toilet papers stolen from the salon.
The episode ended with Ed in the butcher shop grinding up Rye's body.
