Google Will Pay Business Owners to Switch to Google Apps from Microsoft

Yes, you've heard it right, Google will pay you to transfer your business to Google Apps. The company is now aggressively taking its moves to attract new Google Apps users, it's giving the business owners an offer to cover the expense over outstanding business deals that companies may have with other software firms like Microsoft.

Based on a blog posted this morning, Google will also pay for some distribution costs.

The said Google Apps are: Hangouts, Gmail for video calls and voice, may it be single or group, Docs for word processing, Calendar, Drive for cloud storage, sheets for spread sheets, website builder and slides for presentations, Administration tools also included. Presently, Google sells everything at $5 per user monthly.

The basic Essentials version of Microsoft 365 Business costs $5 per user, up to the monthly Premium of $12.50.

This announcement from Google was made a couple of weeks after Microsoft made its live Office 2016 productivity suite, with its Skype for Business, continuous online app updates and simultaneous editing, all of which would look accustomed to any Google Apps user.

The blog post stated, "We've made it easy by covering most of the features some claim to be missing and adding nifty new stuff like Voice Typing and Explore. All in all, we think you'll find it's the perfect tool for work," explained the Head of Global Sales of Google Apps, Rich Rao.

The blog further stated, "Once your current EA is up, we offer a simple contract with no traps or gotchas. For a lot of businesses, it's cheaper, too. Our estimates suggest that businesses with basic EAs and no dependencies can potentially unlock savings of up to 70 percent by switching to Google Apps for Work."

Google's antagonistic take on Microsoft and other initiative efficiency business is less startling when you study how former competitors like IBM and Apple have collaborated to go after giant vertical markets like construction and travel with business-focused mobile apps.
