In the new episode of "Blue Bloods" Season 6, Danny (Donnie Wahlberg) will be back in action after being mostly absent in the previous episode.
According to the official synopsis posted on Cartermatt, Danny will be helping in pursuing two escaped convicts, and he will be discovering that one of them whom he put away in the past is actually innocent.
It seems like after his absence in the last episode, Danny will be back in episode 5 as his moral conscience is now on the line. Latin Post reports that although tracking escaped convicts is not something normal for an NYPD cop, Danny will try his best to track down the criminals.
According to the report, when Danny discovers the mistake that he has done years ago, he will be fully determined to look for the two convicts to make sure that the innocent one won't be killed in the process and that justice will be served this time.
It was reported that this will be a great challenge for Danny as he has to go back to the past and in some way admit to the mistake that he did. Considering that he brought an innocent man behind bars, this could also question his credibility, and his job may be on the line. According to the site, there is a possibility that the other inmates whom Danny placed in jail have now a shot for an appeal.
Meanwhile, the synopsis also reveals that Gormley wil be criticizing NYPD sergeant Trey Delgado's (Esai Morales) plan and will make things difficult for him. It was reported that Gormley (Robert Clohessy) believes that Delgado is having an affair with his wife.
"Blue Bloods" Season 6 episode 5 is titled "Backstabbers" and is scheduled to air on CBS on Friday.
