Daniel Radcliffe got the role for the "Grand Theft Auto" movie by performing a rap. Radcliffe revealed in his interview with Playboy that he got the job of playing Sam Houser in the film, "Game Changer" which is a movie about "Grand Theft Auto" after he rapped a Blackalicious song, "Alphabet Aerobics" on "Jimmy Fallon's" show earlier this year.
Radcliffe told the reported "It made the guy in charge go, 'Oh, he's interested in hip-hop. He's not just a typical posh white boy."
Last April, Hollywood Reporter revealed that Daniel is in negotiation to star in "Game Changer." The movie is about a true to life fight between the creator of "Grand Theft Auto" and a Miami lawyer who wants to ban video game violence.
According to GTA Central, Daniel does not seem to mind the way he got the job and the critical reception to "Game Changers." He is just simply happy that he got this new stint considering the "Harry Potter" shadow might be able to hinder him from getting another role offer.
Radcliffe appearing on "Jimmy Fallon" show is just one of his efforts in showing everyone that he can do so much more than what others think of him given that he portrayed one character for a long time as reported by Game Spot.
The "Harry Potter" star explained that, "One of the positive by-products of celebrity culture for actors like me who've been stuck with one character for a long time is the opportunity for people to get to know me." He then added, "I don't think (Star Wars actor Mark Hamill), for example, had the same opportunities for people to get to know him."
Meanwhile, the movie "Game Changer" which was produced by BBC debuted last month and according to Rockstar Games, the factual dram was a "random, made-up bollocks."
It has been reported that the movie was produced by BBC without Rockstar's approval.
