Cristiano Ronaldo Transfer Rumors: Real Madrid Player Might Leave Spanish Club For PSG, Says Ramon Calderon

Real Madrid star player Cristiano Ronaldo might be ending his Madridista days and transfer to Paris Saint-Germain next season, according to the Spanish club's former president Ramon Calderon.

Rumors have been circulating regarding Ronaldo's possible transfer to PSG. According to Football España, Calderon said in an interview with Le Parisien that he "heard rumors about strong interest from PSG. As a former President and a follower of Madrid, I hope it will never happen."

For the past few months, the Ballon d'Or winner has been linked with the French Ligue team. However, ESPNFC reported that former Real Madrid Manager Carlo Ancelotti believed the 31-year-old Portuguese star will not make the big move.

On the other hand, Calderon does not disregard the possibility of a transfer, although Ronaldo himself has not expressed any intentions of leaving. "Who knows in the world of football. I think his departure is possible," Calderon stated.

"Right now Cristiano has not expressed [a desire to leave]," said Calderon, who served as Real Madrid's president in 2006-2009. "I think he will make his decision at the end of the season, in terms of trophies won and how he feels. Meanwhile, we follow the mystery."

It is believed that the football superstar's transfer, if it happens, would easily be the most expensive move in football history. Ronaldo is still in top form that any club, including his former team Manchester United, would line up to acquire him.

Calderon also said that neither PSG nor Manchester United will have any problem paying off the price for Ronaldo. He said the Portuguese player is a great and popular footballer who will raise the marketing revenue of any league club.

On the other hand, if Real Madrid sells its star player for €100m, the club will certainly get richer but it will never be able to buy a player like him, according to Calderon.

Ronaldo made the huge move to Real Madrid, the world's biggest football team in 2009. Since then, he has become a vital member of the famed club. The current season is his seventh with Real Madrid.
