One of the latest games to be released this year is "Lego Dimensions" by Traveller's Tales and published by Warner Bros. It features characters from DC Comics, "Back to the Future," "The Simpsons," "Scooby Doo" and "Lord of the Rings" among others. It is an action adventure game created for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Wii U and Xbox 360. On the other hand, it is not that difficult to realize that there is one big name in the superhero industry that is missing.
According to Brick Inquirer, Mike Jones, an executive producer with Marvel Games was asked while attending the New York Comic Con if Marvel would ever appear in "Lego Dimensions." He did not say no outright but he said, "Obviously, LEGO Dimensions is fantastic. For the last year, we've been focused on telling our LEGO Marvel Avengers stories. So we haven't thought much about it, and honestly didn't know Dimensions until it was announced and you guys knew about it."
He continued, "They don't tell us everything by the way. We think there is some awesome stuff going on there. At the same time, if you guys have played Disney Infinity, that's where we are mashing up Marvel characters with Disney and Pixar. Star Wars just got added in 3.0. So we're having fun with the cross-over IP mashup and focused on telling our own LEGO Marvel stories with Arthur and the team. So that's kind of as far as we've thought."
It looks like he was beating around the bush only to sound like he was saying "no." On the brighter side, Arthur Parson, Game Director at Traveller's Tales (TT Games) gave a positive-sounding response. His answer was short and sweet saying, "From a TT stand point, never say never."
