'Huawei Mate 8' Leak, Rumors, Specs, News: 4 GB RAM, 20.7 MP Camera, And Fingerprint Sensor

Having been an impressive Huawei release, the "Huawei Mate 7" is definitely a tough smartphone to top. It has a metal unibody and a big 6 inch display, not to mention the fingerprint reader and a great 13 MP camera. It may have seemed like one of the best smartphones from Huawei, but the company still managed to come up with a successor to that great phone.

Introducing "Huawei Mate 8"

"Huawei Mate 8" is expected to be announced on November and be released by December. According to leaked news, the "Huawei Mate 8" will come with a fingerprint sensor and an optional dual sim capability. The display is 6 inches in size and it will have a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels. The "Huawei Mate 8" will run the Android Lollipop version of v5.1 and it will use a chipset of HiSilicon Kirin 950. As for the CPU, it will be powered by a Quad-core 2.0 GHz Cortex A57 and a quad-core 2.4 GHz Cortex-A72.

"Huawei Mate 8" will come in two storage variants, one with a 32 GB Storage with 3 GB RAM, and another one with 64 GB storage and 4 GB RAM. Both phones will come with a microSD slot that can cater to up to 128 GB of storage.

"Huawei Mate 8" will have a good 20.7 MP rear camera and an equally great 8 MP front camera. The phone will have the FM radio feature as well. For the colors, the Obsidian black, Moonlight silver, and Amber gold are all available for the "Huawei Mate 8". As for the price, the 3 GB phone will be at $520 while the higher model will be at $610.

As far as what the leaked news has suggested, the "Huawei Mate 8" seems to be a great smartphone with beastly specs. The 4 GB RAM is something that is still new to smartphones and it is definitely a phone spec of next year's flagships. Although the price is not middle range in any way, it is still more affordable than most phones with beastly software.
