Halle Berry and her husband Olivier Martinez are now facing a lawsuit filed by LAX worker Ronaldo Owens. According to TMZ, the alleged victim, Owens is filing a complaint claiming that he was attacked for no reason.
The incident happened way back in January after Halle and Olivier landed in LAX and paparazzi swarmed them. This prompted Olivier to use their child's car seat to shove them away and that includes Owens which was knocked off his feet.
In one angle of the video that TMZ posted, Owens can be seen taking a photo through his phone.
Gossip Cop reported that a police told them that the couple, "required assistance from Los Angeles Airport Police after a crowd of photographers and a contract airport employee came too close to the family to take photos."
In the lawsuit that was filed, Owens' lawyer claimed that he was not interfering with the couple's exit from the airport but Martinez "abruptly turned towards Ronaldo and brutally and intentionally charged at Ronaldo using an empty child's car seat he held in his hands as a weapon, striking Ronaldo to the ground with the seat and causing Ronaldo humiliation and injury."
According to Celebrity Dirty Laundry, in the lawsuit that Owen filed last Monday in L.A., it was stated that as an LAX employee, he has the right to be there and that he was not even blocking Berry and Martinez's path.
It has been reported by CDL that Martinez claimed that Owens was more than just an LAX employee as he was seen snapping photos of his family using his phone. Halle and Olivier was said to be arguing that Owens was taking cell phone photos of them before he hit his face with the car seat.
Owens is suing for assault, battery, negligence and for emotional distress. It has been reported that with what happened Owens did not just got hurt but he was also humiliated in public.
The lawsuit that was filed in Los Angeles Court seeks for $5 million for the said damages.
