It was in March 2015 when Variety celebrity real estate news correspondent Mark David wrote that a Hollywood Hills compound, which at that time was suspected but has not been confirmed to be owned by Mission: Impossible star Tom Cruise, was listed with an asking price under $13 million. Months later, it was confirmed to be Cruise's, and yesterday, Justin Enriquez and Shyam Dodge reported in the Daily Mail that it was 'Desperate Housewives' actress Eva Longoria who splashed cash on the beautiful home, which was sold for a lower cost at $11.4 million.
According to David's latest article in Variety, the 40-year-old actress was said to have secretly purchased the gated 2.75-acre property perched above the Laurel Canyon where one can enjoy a majestic view over the San Fernando Valley. The main house resembles a European-style villa and features three spacious bedrooms with their own bathrooms, wide plank oak floors, Venetian plaster walls, and an extravagantly outfitted Italian farmhouse kitchen with high-end appliances. It also has a wine cellar and a tasting room perfect for accommodating small parties. A secondary residence within the compound for guests or staff has four more rooms and bathrooms with a kitchen.
Overlooking the main house, you will find a heated, lagoon-style swimming pool with spa reached over by a footbridge and located across a stone-paved driveway from a shaded dining terrace, the children's playground, and a detached garage fit for three cars.
David's research shows that the former wife of NBA superstar Tony Parker, and now partner to media mogul Jose Antonio Baston, has a list of real estate holdings which consist of an ordinary home in San Antonio, an Italianate bungalow in Whitley Heights in Los Angeles bought for $1.15 million in 2005, and a mansion which measures 8,600-square-feet in the Hollywood Dell neighborhood acquired in 2006 for $3.6 million.
