Celebrity Real Estate: Marc Bulger, Retired Rams Quarterback, Cuts Price on Historic St. Louis Home

Former Rams quarterback, Marc Bulger, has been trying to sell his 22-room mansion in the St. Louis area. Now, he's trimming down the listing price of the historic home, known locally as the Percy Orthwein House, to $5,995,000. The mansion was originally listed in May 2014 for $7,499,000, which makes the current price almost a million and a half less than the original price.

The historic St. Louis mansion sits on 6.5 acres in Huntleigh, an equestrian enclave just a 20-minute drive from downtown St. Louis. The home was built in 1930 by noted St. Louis architects, Maritz & Young.

According to Realtor, the French country-style home measuring 11,587 square feet has six bedrooms. The master suite on the second level includes an updated master bathroom with jetted tub and steam shower. The property also has a 1,000-bottle wine cellar, an outdoor fireplace, and a large outdoor pool with decks.

The newly renovated kitchen features granite countertops and high-end appliances. The mansion also has a detached garage for four cars.

Bulger bought the mansion in 2007, after signing a $62.5 million contract extension with the Rams. The deal came with $27 million in guaranteed money which made him the highest-paid Ram ever, at that time.

The historic St. Louis mansion of the former Rams quarterback is one of the finest estates in the St. Louis area owned by several prominent families over the years.

Realtor also added that the mansion has its own private driveway that leads you up to the Maritz & Young-designed stone home which has great features of 22 rooms, five fireplaces, four full baths and five half baths. The house features terrazzo floors on the ground level with a glamorous staircase, elegant chandeliers and decorative plaster moldings.

The master suite on the 2nd floor has an updated bathroom with extensive marble floors, a Jacuzzi tub, and a steam shower.
