Color Coordinate Your Home Decors this ‘Fall’

As seasons change, the hues we see in our surroundings also change. We bid farewell to summer, fall is here. Cold starts to sip in, so bring those fiery and intense colours while you color coordinate your home decors.

Redecorating takes a lot of time to plan for the entire look of the home and implementation to achieve such looks. For the planning, Trulia shared some tips from four design industry experts with a combined 55 years of experience as they shared their tips and tricks for this fall.

Your color palette comes first

Before you go ahead and plan the entirety of your decors, you need to have a color palette to follow. Accordingly, assembling an autumn palette only takes looking outside. Look at the nature that surrounds you - from plums, rusty reds, golden ambers, buttery yellows, and chocolaty browns. They are all present on the barks of the trees, the fallen leaves and the forest ground.

Accessorize and put accents

If repainting your home seems too much of work which will be required to change every season, then you don't have any other option but to foolproof. This can be achieved by using home accessories such as throw pillows, rugs, vases and frames that are matched with the season. Also, accents will help you keep within the design rule of 60-30-10, of which accents should not be more than 10% of the overall color scheme.

Play with light

Light has been long used as a way to decorate and keep the house in the right kind of mood. If you think that the cold days ahead will make you sad and miss the just-departed summer, it is time to play with lights. Lights make you happy or sad, depending on the color you use.

If you want to bring sparkles to your home, you can use string lights on the dimmer part of the room. Also, you can play with candles to this effect, which smell nice.

Redecorating the home is as exciting as having a new one because of the freshness it gives off after the process. And it is always great to express who you are in the kind of home that you have.
