‘Pretty Little Liars’ (PLL) Season 6 Spoilers: Show Skips Halloween Special; ‘5 Years Forward’ Will Feature the Girls’ Romance, Thriving Careers

"Pretty Little Liars" Season 6 will skip ABC Family network's "13 Nights of Halloween" event this year. However, fans of the hit family drama can look forward to a special November episode, as the four main characters return to Rosewood.

A representative for the show confirmed in June that there will not be a holiday episode in Season 6, Bustle reported. This means that fans will not see the Liars during "13 Nights of Halloween" as well as "25 Days of Christmas." In exchange of a Halloween special, the network will treat fans to a special episode titled "5 Years Forward," which will be aired on Nov. 24.

"Pretty Little Liars: 5 Years Forward" will feature the beloved girls -- Aria (Lucy Hale), Hanna (Ashley Benson), Emily (Shay Mitchell) and Spencer (Troian Bellisario) -- who are already grownups and are now thriving in their individual careers. This fall special will be the opening episode of "Pretty Little Liars" Season 6B before it premieres in January 2016.

Aside from seeing their favorite girls, fans will also have a glimpse of the "PLL" sets and can watch some never-before-seen scenes of the show during the November special. According to IB Times, viewers will be treated with exclusive interviews with the "PPL" cast and crew as they talk about the five-year time jump that occurred since the summer finale.

This is the second year in a row when "Pretty Little Liars" skipped on Halloween drama. So while fans are sure to welcome the "PPL" special in November, they will still miss their favorite characters in the most anticipated holidays of the year.

Since 2011, "Pretty Little Liars" has been incorporating holiday specials into their seasons. Seasons 2 to 4 specials were all Halloween episodes. The first Halloween special in 2011 featured a flashback on Rosewood's former queen bee, Alison. That episode garnered good ratings and an increase in viewership ranking of the show.

The family series continued its holiday tradition in "Pretty Little Liars" Season 5 by delivering its first Christmas episode called "How the A Stole Christmas." Despite being a Christmas special, the episode featured ghosts, which made the theme a little scary.

Meanwhile, "Pretty Little Liars" Season 6B finale will be full of romance, as show creator Marlene King confirmed in an earlier interview. This has fueled fan speculations that after many years of mystery and suspense, "Pretty Little Liars" will finally tone down on the frights and scares.

"Pretty Little Liars" Season 6 will air on ABC Family on Jan. 12, 2016.
