Cuba Gooding Jr, the actor who is perhaps best known for playing 'Rod Tidwell' in the 1996 rom-com flick "Jerry Maguire" has reportedly listed his home in California for $729,000. This is the house he lived in when he started his career in the movies, according to Trulia.
Gooding purchased the home for $439,000 sometime in 1999. After making a mark in the industry, he upgraded to a mansion in Pacific Palisades, which he purchased for 423.5 million in 2000.
According to the listing records, the residence is a 3538 square feet single family home sitting on a 10,890 square feet lot. Built in 1976, the home comprises of five bedrooms and three bathrooms.
The listing describes the home as:
Porter Ranch 5 bedroom, 3 bath home with bonus room and pool. Spacious living and dining rooms. Large master suite. 3 car garage. Cul-de-sac street. Needs TLC. Sold "as-is" Brokered And Advertised By: Rodeo Realty Listing Agent: Bernie Leibovitch
While Gooding just listed his starter home for sale, he was spotted looking at some apartments in the SoHo neighborhood of New York City. However, his representative denied any plans of buying a home, reports The New York Post.
"Cuba has been busy with eight shows a week and isn't hotel- or house-hunting. He hasn't made a decision about living arrangements. His family plans are unconfirmed," the rep said.
