Google Nexus 6P Release Date & Price: Device Is Available At Huawei Online Store, Play Store Offers 32 GB and 64 GB Variants

A new report about Google's Nexus 6P smartphone has surfaced on Thursday, saying that Nexus users can pre-order the phone via Huawei's online store. The news triggered excitement from fans wanting to own the device straight from the manufacturer, given the fact that Google has dwindling stock of the upcoming phone, a report from iDigital Times said.

According to the report, mobile manufacturer Huawei is offering two variants of the Nexus 6P smartphone, namely the 32GB and 64GB models. In terms of storage options, the device comes with 32GB, 64GB and 128GB storage capacity.

The phone's 32GB variant will be sold for $499, the 64GB variant for $549 and the 12 GB variant for $649. It was said that Huawei will only sell two color options: Aluminum and Graphite. The phone comes with a 5.7-inch QHD display with a 75 percent screen-to-device ratio as compared with the screen size of an average smartphone in the market today.

Inside the device is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 v2.1 chip that comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB, 64GB and 128GB internal storage options. The phone's battery is expected to be a 3,450mAh, non-removable.

"Camera wise, the Nexus 6P features a rear-facing 12.3 MP camera with 1.55 ultra pixels and laser auto focus which can instantly focus on close objects. The rear facing camera should, according to Google, outperform any other smartphone camera with regards to color mapping and brightness," PC Advisor UK said.

"It also includes a slow-mo mode that can handle up to 240 frames per second and 4K video recording, much like the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus. With regards to the front facing selfie camera, the Nexus 6P boasts a 8Mp camera with an f/2.4 aperture and HDR+, which should help provide high-definition selfies for your Instagram and Snapchat feed," the report added.
