Katy Perry Further Slashes Hollywood Hills Home Asking Price to $6.4 Million

After officially listing the Hollywood Hills home in April for around $6.9 million and failing to sell it since then, the "Fireworks" singer Katy Perry has reportedly slashed off a small chunk of money from its price tag. The home now asks $6.4 million.

Perry had privately listed the home for $8 million before going public. Even as she looked around for a buyer privately, she price chopped a million off its cost. She then said she would accept any price around $6 million.

Looks like, she just wants to get the home off her back. Perry got the house as a part of her divorce deal, when she split with actor Russell Brand. Brand had transferred ownership of the home to Perry when they ended their 14-month marriage. Perry had purchased the place with Brand in 2011.

According to the listing records, the home is a spacious 8855 square feet residence comprising of seven bedrooms and seven full and four half bathrooms. The three-story home has dark stained hardwood flooring, beamed wooden ceilings and large Palladian windows.

Living spaces include a large drawing room, a paneled dining room, a library, a gallery and a media lounge. The kitchen is a gourmet culinary place with modern fittings and fixtures. The place also has a breakfast area, a snack counter and a mid-rise island.

Outside, the home has a double story detached structure that has a three car garage upstairs and a maids quarters and a studio on the lower level. Another detached guest house and a swimming pool also exist on the property.

Perry's recent real estate deals include a grand purchase of two adjoining properties in Hollywood Hills. She purchased the residences from millionaire heiress, Aileen Getty, who in turn had bought one property from Bruce Springsteen and the other one from Max Weinberg.

Amid all the real estate hullabaloo, looks like Perry and ex-boyfriend, John Mayer, are back together again! The duo was spotted holding hands in New York City, reports PerezHilton.com.

Maybe they will buy that Los Angeles home together.
