Disney blockbuster movie "Frozen" will have another sequel on 2018 which is rumored to focus on Queen Elsa's coming out as a lesbian and Anna's superpowers, Yibada reported.
Said sequel which was confirmed on March 2015, will focus on Elsa's character and will delve deeper into her personality as she is involved with a potential love interest. It is said that Elsa went through a lot in the first movie and we didn't get to see much of her side.
"She had such a dramatic journey, and at the end she's just starting to feel like she can open up and have some fun again. That's what was really good about the short -- we could have fun with Elsa. And that personality... you will see in the next one," Chris Buck, co-director of "Frozen" said, according to Fandango.
"I can't divulge anything, but for us, Jen and me, it's been so fun to get back in the room and be with these characters again. These characters are part of us -- both for Jen and me. Anna, Kristoff, Elsa, Olaf -- they're all parts of our personality, so it's fun to play with these characters again and sort of see where we can go next with them. Just like any characters that you love, to see them grow and to see what happens next," Buck added.
Meanwhile, Anna will have her own superpowers. It was teased by Buck that Anna's powers is her love because she saves the day with love. Fans also look forward for Anna and Elsa's relationship as sisters which is how the first installment ended.
Speaking with MTV News, Buck also mentioned that they will tackle other issues which involves things that both young and old deal with, saying, "I think we're very aware of what is happening in society... When the kids [watch] them, they watch them over and over again, and if we don't have a decent message in there, I think we've missed an opportunity."
Buck and co-director Jennifer Lee are both working hard on the plot of "Frozen 2" because it can easily influence kids. Voice actresses Kristen Bell will plays Anna while Idina Menzel is the voice of Elsa. Most of the casts and crew will be returning for the new film.
Fan favorite Olaf is also rumored to get a bigger role on the sequel that will be released on March 2018.
