Bill Gates, the mastermind behind tech giant 'Microsoft,' has reportedly dropped $8.7 million on a plush residence in Wellington, Florida. Gates always lived in rented homes whenever he and his family went on vacation there. However, he has now become a landlord there, according to gossipextra.com.
Gates and his family rented the house for two winters, shelling out a total estimated rent of $1.1 million. Apparently, Gates' daughter is training to be a horse-rider and considering the amount of time they will spend in the equestrian village, they had to buy a house there, reports the Real Estalker.
Listing records of the home state that the residence is a 7234 square feet spread, sitting on a five acre lot. The main home has four bedrooms and four bathrooms. Interiors of the home feature an open-floor plan.
Living spaces include a foyer featuring a grand staircase, a formal drawing room, a dining area, a reception hall, an office, a library and a recreation room. Outside, the home has a large infinity pool, a barn and a built-in barbecue on the patio. It also has a Y-shaped canal dotted with trees along its banks.
