Eva Longoria reportedly bought the Hollywood Hills compound of Tom Cruise for a sparkling $11.4 million, after being on the market for roughly seven long months.
The Desperate Housewives star will be taking a cruise to her new extravagant compound in Hollywood Hills as she graces the previously Tom-Cruise-owned property.
The 2.75-acre property boasts a seven-bedroom Italian-style home and overlooks the Laurel Canyon in Los Angeles. It features a farmhouse-style kitchen - the perfect place for researching for her new cook book. It has wide-plank oak floors and Venetian plaster walls which is the perfect 1937 home.
The property is far from the public eye as its gated grounds and long driveway will drive off any paparazzi.
"Someone who wants extreme, extreme privacy is going to buy this house. Nobody knows who's coming or going. Nobody knows if anyone's home. That's why people like those long, private driveways. Most other houses in the hills don't have this type of privacy, this sort of frontage separating them from the street. A lot of them are set into the hill, they're right on the street, and they may have a gate-but it's easy to look in and see if someone's home," agent Marisa Zanuck told Realtor when the property was listed for sale in March for $13 million.
According to Variety, Longoria's vast residential real estate holdings include a fairly ordinary home in a gated development in San Antonio, an Italianate bungalow in L.A.'s historic Whitley Heights 'hood purchased in 2005 for $1.15 million, and an 8,600-square-foot mansion in the Hollywood Dell neighborhood she scooped up in 2006 for $3.6 million.
In the case of action superstar, Tom Cruise, his almost 300-acre ranch outside Telluride, remains for sale on the open market at $59 million, according to Variety. And according to some celebrity real estate people, as told by Variety, his posh, 10,000-plus square-foot Beverly Hills manse, with a price tag of around $50 million, can be shown on the down low.
