Leah Messer's 2015 news is heartbreaking after a West Virginia judge granted her 5-year-old twin daughters, Ali and Aleeah's custody to her former husband, Corey Simms.
It was a long and winding battle of custody for the estranged couple. Simms has accused her of drug addiction and dropping their children late in school. The court awards him the kids' custody effective Oct.13. Although he gets full custody, Leah can be with her daughters on weekends.
"Corey was awarded primary custody effective immediately," a source told In Touch Weekly. "Leah only gets the girls on the weekends now."
Messer fought for custody of her daughters in 2014 after Simms allegedly claimed that she had been abusing prescription pills. After a negative drug test, the judge allowed her to be with her daughters. However, she reportedly went downward spiral, according to OK! Magazine.
"Leah's really been screwing up since then, so Corey took her back to court. The judge looked at the girls' school records, which show that they've been late for school, and made the change in custody."
It is said that she's hurt with the result and finds it hard to accept it. Sources claimed that she can't stop crying. Now insiders close to the Teen Mom 2" star have expressed their worry about her youngest daughter, Addie, 2, with her ex-husband Jeremy Calvert, Hollywood Life reports.
Leah's lousy parenting raised some speculations that with her lifestyle, Calvert may also file custody battle to win Addie. There are reports that claimed that he has been contemplating on that too since Addie was seen wandering while the 23-year-old reality star was out of sight. "Everyone is very worried about Addie. She recently wandered out of the house while Leah was distracted," the source said.
Aside from Leah's parenting, she is being questioned on how fast she could move on from one partner to another. Two months after finalizing her divorce with Calvert, she dated 32-year-old personal trainer T.R. Dues, who also has two kids.
